100 Miles In 7 Days!

Hello, my name is KatyRose and I decided to push my body and do the ultimate challenge: 100 Miles in 7 Days!!  Everyone knows that in 2014 I was training for my first Half Marathon, and I was able to accomplish my first race in November 2014.  I was blown away with what I was able to accomplish, and it made me want to step it up.  I was reading an article and this woman did 100 Miles in 7 days and that just blew me away.  That is such an accomplishment and it really sparked my interest.  I sat down and calculated to see what I would need to do to accomplish 100 Miles in 7 days.  For the first 6 days I would need to do 14.2 Miles a day and on the last day I would need to do 14.8 Miles.  My original plan was to do this challenge in the last week of December 2014, but found out that it wasn't the best time to do this challenge. (My husbands birthday, Christmas, New Years) So I decided to start 2015 off with a big BANG and accomplish this goal in the first week of the New Year!!

I did this challenge January 1-7 2015!  Below, I will share my journey with you and show you how I was able to accomplish this goal and what I did.  Doing this challenge was the true definition of: HardworkDedication!

I have JUST completed 100 Miles In 7 Days!!  Tonight is going to be night of celebration!! Here is the complete summary below:

January 1-7, 2015
Total Amount Of Miles: 100 Miles
Total Amount Of Calories Burned: 6,298.3
4 Lbs Lost in 7 Days Total!

It is truly amazing to me that I was able to focus and stay disciplined for the entire 7 days.  It started getting hard for me on Day 5 and that was the first time that I had to truly force myself to get out of the door and get to the gym.  I always kept in my mind "If this was easy, then everyone would do it."  To be great, you need to put in the time and the hardwork!!  To get results and accomplish goals, you need to be disciplined and dedicated!!

As I approached Day 6 I knew it was going to be difficult.  The last two days were literally back to back so I knew my body was going to be pushed.  On Day 6 I went to the gym in late evening because I had to wait for my Husband to get home from work.  I then came home late and had to shower and eat then head right to bed.  I had 4 hours of sleep then at 4am on Day 7 I woke up to head to the gym for the last day of my challenge.  To have my body pushed on Day 6 and then have only 4 hours of rest, and get up to do it all over again, was truly one of the most difficult things I had to do.  I kept my mind positive though because I knew it was the last day, and I knew I had to finish strong!!

I am proud and excited to say that: I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)  I did 100 Miles in 7 Days!!!!!
I finally earned my sticker, and I was super excited to put it on the car next to my 13.1 sticker!!!!

I am so excited to have completed this, and once again I am able to prove to myself that I can do anything because Christ gives me the strength to do so, and you can accomplish anything you want if you have: HardworkDedication

My amazing husband put together this amazing kit to celebrate my achievement.  We then went to put the certificate on my running wall, and put my medal up with the others.  We decided to do a little photo shoot!! The pictures are below :)

My celebration!!!

My Car is official now :)

After having two babies, I am so incredibly proud of myself and what I have accomplished!!

My greatest rewards!! I honestly thank both of my children: Gabriel & Rafaela!  These two angels have kept me strong and motivated me to better myself.  I want them to be proud of me, and I want to set the right example.  These two angels have kept me strong when I have been through some of the weakest moments of my life.  God has truly blessed me with my amazing family and all of the glory to him!! I will praise Jesus forever!
