My Very First Original Analogy :) WORDS 7/20/11

Are Words Really that important and life changing? Do words go on forever?
Katy's Analogy

-          Someone is depressed and feeling down and words are spoken “ you are no good, loser, never amount to anything, you always get it wrong”  that person goes home and takes their life or develops an addiction
-          Someone gets pregnant and it was unplanned and not sure on what to do and words are spoken “your life is over, get rid of it, you will never be able to do it, it is impossible.”  That person goes and gets an abortion and regrets it every day and it damages future relationships.
-          Someone is debating whether or not to do something but isn’t sure and words are spoken “just try it one time and if you don’t like it then you don’t have to do it again.” That person takes that theory through their life with everything or develops a bad addiction.
-          Parents speak to their children from a small age, and keep saying damaging things to them, what happens?  That child grows up not wanting to speak the same things on repeat, but the cycle begins and now they are their parents, or the child is now 40 years old and still trying to heal from their childhood wounds and still hopes for restoration.

These are a few examples that I could come up with that happen.  The best thing to think is that if you were to go into space and throw a ball in space, that ball would keep going and going and going, nothing would stop it.  That is the same concept of how powerful our words are.  You can either speak life or death into someone and it is scary because people don’t realize what their words actually do.  Next time you are getting ready to speak something no matter how big or small, think about it that it will go on and on and on.   KatyRose

7/20/11 Updated Blog

7/20/11

I decided to update my blog with what has all been going new in my life.  There have been so many changes and learning experiences (for the better).  My little boy is just over 9months and oh my gosh he is the most amazing blessing of a human being I have ever known.  It is impossible to not be happy or in a good mood when around him.  He is a little bundle of smiles, laughs, joy, etc.  I feel absolutely honored to be his mother and favor from the Lord.  Our family is very excited to be moving soon in the near future, we are looking forward to the experience to meet new people, see new adventures and see the blessings the Lord has for our little tri-pod in the future.  Now the real reason I wrote this blog is because I have grown closer to the Lord and oh my word are my eyes opening even more.  I thought I knew a lot back then, nope not even close!!!!!  It is amazing what you can learn from being in a good church, being around spirit led pastors, seeking bible classes, godly podcasts, and reading on your own.  My prayers have changed in how I pray, My views have changed, and I am claiming more and more scriptures over my husband and son and receiving blessings on our family.  To seek the Lord it takes tremendous discipline and obedience, you need to be conscious of what you are doing through the day.  To the shows on television you watch, the music, and who you associate with and how you speak.   The biggest difference in myself is the boldness I am developing when speaking to the Lord and quoting scripture.  When you realize who you are in Christ, we do have authority to speak that way and claim it as it is written in the scripture.  If people realized the real reason why Jesus died and make an effort, wow would this world be different.  But to be honest it takes hard work and there is no rest, and people are too lazy and want everything the fastest and easy way. (and that is what the enemy uses against us)  My best best best advice is to start small in the little things and work your way up.  KatyRose
