The Opposite… (My New Year’s Resolution, if you want to call it that)

The Opposite… (My New Year’s Resolution, if you want to call it that)

This is something I have decided and taking a stand, and if someone wants a label on it, then I guess you could call it “my new year’s resolution.”  Jesus died for us to have an abundant life and to not struggle and have stress and to be simple and peaceful and happy.  So I look at that, and then I look at the “world’s way.”  The world is all about pleasing itself, more, more, and more, never satisfied, all about status, who looks the best, etc.
So the simplest thing I came up with is to do the opposite of what the world is doing. J  Here is a list:

            Worlds Way                            /           Opposite

1)      Never Satisfied with job                      Thankful to have A job.
2)      Never Satisfied with looks                  Happy to be made, and to see, hear, walk, think,
3)      Never satisfied with car                      Happy to have a vehicle that runs
4)      Needs more clothes                            As long as can cover body parts, good for meJ
5)      Needs more money                            Has enough if can provide for necessities
6)      Needs bigger better house                 As long as has a roof over head, that’s all I need
7)      Complains about food                         As long as has something to eat
8)      Needs the newest technology If have a computer and phone that is great
9)      (For women) trying to be                    Cover up!!!! Don’t show everyone your display
“The sexiest” “hottest”
“Show off what they have”
10)  Spend, Spend, Spend, get into debt    Pay off debt, start saving and planning
11)  Needs to figure out everything           Trust God for everything, don’t figure it out
12)  Needs to “fit in”                                  Know that I am complete in God’s eyes and not to
Be conformed to this world.
13)  Compares themselves to others         Know that I am fearfully, wonderfully made and
Need to be different.

This list shows how it is today with everyone and how far we are from God’s way and will, and people wonder why they are confused??  If you are living the world’s way then you are going to have problems.  Just look at black Friday and how people acted.  People acted like animals,
Some old man died in the middle of a store and people were walking over his body to get merchandise.  Some lady pepper sprayed kids and people to get some electronic items.  People camped out all night in front of stores in the cold for items.  This is crazy!!!! Do you think God is pleased at this????  Why aren’t people speaking up about this???  We are most definitely in the end times and it is ugly out here.  So take a look around and decide if you “fit in” or “set apart”

Status

Status…..
You spend your day to day doing what you have to do to survive and make it in this world.  You work, get in your routine to just make it through the day.  You go through the motions sometimes not even thinking of your next move because it is so routine for you.  Does this describe you??  This describes everyone!!!!  We get into robot mode and sometimes go on auto-pilot.  The enemy gets us into a routine where we don’t even have to think, and we just stay “in this world”  We don’t challenge ourselves to question things, or try to become deeper and become more spiritual.  Did you know that when we die if we are born again we have a seed planted in us that we are responsible for bearing fruit and working for the kingdom of God.  (1 Corinthians 3:11KJV) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.  12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;  13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.  14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
So when we have these fruits that we are responsible for and since good works don’t save us we need to rely 100% on Jesus.  When we die like it says in the scripture above the fire will burn away what we didn’t do and what we did do.  If it has true value eternally, then we give it to Jesus because it is all because of what he did.
So back to what I was saying, we get in this routine where we forget why we are here and our purpose.  Like it says in
(Ecclesiastes 1:2-4) Life is useless, all useless.  You spend your life working…but what do you have to show for it?... The world stays just the same.
We need to be constantly renewing our mind and training ourselves how to think and how to act.  It takes work each day to do this.  We need to think of the Big picture/eternally NOT small picture/temporary.  We need to be taking advantage of being here alive on this earth today.  God gives us only ONE life to live.  Jesus never intended for us to slave ourselves working and being miserable.  We are supposed to have joy and an abundant life.  If we surrender to God we can have that day in and day out.

Quote that is simply amazing & a message to back it up!

I strongly suspect that if we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers make, and all the people those little prayers were destined to affect, and all the consequences of those prayers down through the centuries – we would be so paralyzed with awe at the power of prayer that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives!
                             -Peter Kreeft

Everytime you pray you are putting angels to work and they are taking your words of prayer  and putting them into action.  There are angels on your behalf that are fighting demons for you and making sure your prayers get answered.  Each time you pray for someone you are drawing them to the Lord and bringing them closer to loving the Lord and seeking the Lord.  We have authority in our prayers when we are saved and in Christ.  It is time to pray with authority and take ownership of what Christ died for us to have.  We are to no longer believe the enemies lies, we are to stomp and trample on him and cast out demons that are affecting our loved ones lives and strangers lives.  Each time you pray believe that as soon as those words are spoken out, there is an army of angels grabbing those words and carrying them up to Heaven and fighting off demons who are trying to steal your prayers.  Take authority!!!!! Be Bold!!!! Take a chance!!!! Speak out!!! IN JESUS NAME!!!

So Important.

It is so important to write this, that I don't even think words can even express how important this is.  We tend to think of our own feelings, and our own situations and we could really care less about others.  Now, of course we care about our loved ones and close friends, I am talking about people we meet everyday or we pass by.  I am talking about people you may just meet for 2 mintues, or 2 seconds.  If someone does a wrong action (Ex: cuts you off while you are driving) we never stop to think "Wow, I wonder if that person is having an awful day, Lord let me pray for that person and lift that person up to you today"  We always think we are "owed" something and we deserve and are entitled to special favours.  This is a big lie that the enemy deals us daily.  We are all the same, we are all created equal.  I don't care if you are a millionare and a poor person, we are ALL EQUAL!!!  We all have special and unique gifts but we are all equal!!  We are all sinners in need of a Saviour and that is the bottom line!!!  There are people everywhere in this world that are hurt, they are hurting from the effects of life and with people so self-involved in their own situations, we totally miss opportunities to be humble and show love to one another, and most importantly share the love of Jesus.  Women today aren't in "sister hood" the way that we are supposed to be.  Women who are in christ are sisters, and we need to be there for one another through the good and the bad. It seems these days women are so quick to stab eachother in the back, and are in constant competition and never have eachothers interest at heart.  Each day we need to renew our minds and set it right and learn how to think right.  How do we want God to see us?  When you meet people wherever it is, be a disciple, be different, show love and kindness and most importantly don't be Judgemental.  Don't have a critical spirit, don't think you are better than someone else.  Everyone has a past, and everyone deserves forgiveness.  Afterall, Christ died for us while we were and are sinners.   We need to share that type of love with one another.  Next time you catch yourself not acting kindly, or lovingly try and figure out why that is?  We need to stop acting like this type of behavior is ok and accepted.  It isn't normal and it isn't what Jesus Christ died for us to have.  We are Sons and Daughters of Christ and we need to act like it and show others.
I was able to experience something yesterday that was  a true annointed "Divine Appointment" and it broke my heart and was beautiful at the same time because it was ALL GOD!!!  People are hurting and need to hear love and kind words and remember that Jesus is there for them no matter what.  Also, that God wants to restore your life and if there were pieces of it that you lost, he wants to fix it and make it better than it has ever been.  Please get up this morning and get your mind set Godly and train yourself to do this daily.  Keep in mind that we aren't here for ourselves and our purposes, we are here to learn and be disciples.

THANKSGIVING WEEK.... What are your plans?

Thanksgiving week…..

I am sooo stoked for this week, it is Thanksgiving week!!!!  I am beyond excited because it is a 3 day work week for me, we are having a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones and great food, and we are seeing amazing Christmas lights this weekend.   I am in a great mood because great things have been happening with blessings from the Lord.  I cannot express the fact on how thankful I am with every day that has been passing by.  I have family that I love with all of my heart, I am learning new things at church on how to grow closer to the Lord and meeting new people while learning new skills.  When you truly put yourself out there and think of others, the Lord has no choice but to use you.  When you become bold in your walk with the Lord he sees you mean business and will set up divine appointments and you begin to see his work in all areas of your life.  I learned an amazing message this week at church that I must share! J  We are to seek God’s face FIRST, then ourselves second!!  When we pray, we aren’t to ask for things, and ask for God’s hand.  We are to desire him first, thank him first, glorify him first, have his will be done first,  THEN…. We can ask for blessings for our loved ones, and favour for situations, etc.  When we start asking for blessing first then we put ourselves as idols before the Lord and we are not seeking him first.
Please have a wonderful week, give thanks to the Lord in Everything!!!  Kiss and hug your families, there is so much to be grateful for…. Just look around!  God Bless xoxo

When you are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, Amazing things can happen……..

When you are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, Amazing things can happen……..

My husband and I attended our Wednesday service at our church and we were in the middle of praise and worship and we saw a man that we have talked to several times and he always asked about our son because he remembers when we used to bring him to church as a newborn.  Well we haven’t seen this man in awhile and the first thing that came into my mind was (To go into my wallet and pull out a picture of Gabriel so he can see how big he has gotten) and then I gave the picture to my husband and his thought was (Let’s give this picture to him) So he pulled out a pen and started writing on the back of the picture to personalize it.  Well the man ended up looking over and seeing us, and got right out of his seat to come over and give hugs and say hi J  We showed him the picture and he was so happy we were showing it to him, but the moment my husband said “Here this is for you to keep.”  The man started tearing up and us giving him that picture made him feel special and that we thought of him enough to give him a family picture and included him.  He gave us hugs with tears in his eyes and said “thank you so much, you don’t know what this means to me.”
Then after service we went to our couples class and this is the first time we went to the couples class on a Wednesday night because this is a new class they are doing.  Anyways, the class was very helpful and had good information, then we all got in a circle and started just sharing with one another.  I was very proud of my husband he was the most talkative in the group and was giving amazing advice to other couples.  Well towards the end we all did prayer requests, and this one lady that I have never seen mentioned to pray for her grandpa and then I saw her tearing up when she said it.  After the prayer requests were done, I looked at my husband and I said to him “I want to go over there and give her a hug.”  I walked over there and told her I want to give her a hug because she needs it, and as soon as I held her tight, I felt her weeping on my shoulder.  I just kept telling her to let it out and that it is ok.  We then talked for a bit afterwards and I told her that I would see her next week in class.
These two stories I shared with you are to see how the Holy Spirit is always present and we can miss these amazing opportunities if we are too busy with things of the world and too concerned with ourselves.  Our prayers need to be:  Please Lord help me to be more sensitive to the Holy Spirit, let him lead me and guide me.  So when you feel something in your heart, or have thoughts it could be the Holy Spirit.  You know the fruits of the Holy Spirit:
    1. Love
2.      Joy
3.      Peace
4.      Longsuffering
5.      Kindness
6.      Goodness
7.      Faithfulness
8.      Gentleness
9.      Self-control
So when you feel any of these things know it is coming from the Holy Spirit, act on it and just be in the midst of him.  Be different from everyone else, and actually be concerned about another hurting.  Be selfless not selflish.
