5/21/2010 Inside is what counts

Ever notice how much pride and time people spend on their outward appearance?? Yes, it is amazing to take the time to have a put-together look and it is always important to have a good respectable first impression, but when is it too much??? Today our society focuses on labels, and all of the new and hottest things to get, do you notice that all of those are a distraction? There are much more meaningful things going on around us. It is very easy to be blinded when people are telling you what you need or should have, or what the majority of people have. I have said this many times before and I will always keep saying it, these things are ALL TEMPORARY!!!! Its great to reward yourself, but don't get consumed in it. It is very easy to get wrapped up in it and forget about the most important value, and that is what is inside. We are judged on eternity for our inside, not the outside. When it is our time to stand before God, we are alone and judged on how we lived our life and how our inside is, and if we had obedience following God. We should have a fear for God. If we don't fear God, then we do what is best for us, and don't think about consequences. We need to respect the authority of God, and think about if what we are doing is pleasing to God, or if a change needs to take place. Once you get tapped into God's Word, and following Jesus, you will experience a different relationship and a more intimant relationship. God won't seem so distant anymore, he will be more present in your life. God forgives and loves us, but it is up to us to acknowledge him and have obedience. The more involved you get and the more you open yourself to God, the feeling is something I cannot explain. Your eyes will be fully opened and you will want more and more, and you will want to share with others what you learn. Time on earth is limited and its important to remember that all of our days our numbered, if you were to go right now, do you know where you would be spending your eternity??

5/7/2010 Life is Truly a Blessing

It is such a blessing to be able to wake up each morning and be alive and healthy and able to experience the gift of another day!! We are truly blessed and this is something that we should never take for granted!! it sometimes takes for something bad or unexpected to happen, for us to truly appreciate this and it shouldn't be that way. Rejoice and enjoy life's true blessings and gifts, don't take things or people for granted. I was once told by a Pastor, that no matter what the sun is going to rise in the morning, no matter what mood you are in, so you can either be positive or negative. it is our choice!! The biggest thing I can preach on is to cherish the things in life that really matter. God, family, friends, and the gift of life. All of these earthly things that are forced upon us are just a distraction and don't mean anything in the end. We are all judged on how we lived our lives individually and nobody can help one another out in the end. If you aren't living your life accordingly, then this thought should scare you. The good news is that if you are still alive right now, you can start today and change the way you life today, before it's too late!! Get connected with the bible, spread the good word, be kind to one another, we aren't supposed to have the mind set of "eye for an eye." It is also important to be in fellowship with one another and get to church and worship and praise the Lord with other believers and form connection with godly people. We are definitely in the end times, and we should be coming together even more now and focusing on God's word. Rejoice and be happy that you re alive today, and its not too late to start, so start now!! Find a good church that can get you through the coming week, and when times get rough turn to the bible and on the go, get the book "Gods Promises" and that will pull you through the hard times when the enemy tries to catch you off guard. There are tricks to arm yourself in God's Armor. As my favorite bible verse in Ephesians says: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powerful forces of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 4/1/2010 Now

I just wanted to write a note saying that no matter what happens, or what kind of break/vacation you take from church or reading the bible, it is most important to not take it for granted, because we are not promised another day. My opinion is that if you aren't in church on sundays and if you are not reading the bible, then something is greatly missing in your life. You may be trying to find earthly posessions to fill that void, and that will fail EVERYTIME!!! Get to church, it doesn't matter if you are by yourself, it is time to praise and worship Our Savior, we owe that to him, it should be a pleasure to do that for him. Throughout the week, start reading Gods Word, start meditating on scriptures. Don't let this precious time be wasted. We need to make sure we are running the race and living spiritually and if we mess up, we must ask for forgiveness and go right back to being disciplined and obediant. There are NO excuses!!! When our time is up on earth, that is IT!! There are no do-overs, we only have this lifetime and that is it, then we are judged for ETERNITY!!! When you let that sink in, you should be in a panic because that is a scary thought if you aren't living right and reading Gods Word. Start Today, get a bible and start reading in it and getting in tune with God's Word, start going to church, meet people that can help and enlighten you with the knowledge of Gods Word. It is our job as christians to look after one another and get eachother in line, and spread the good news!!

2/1/2010 Start Now

It's not too late to start now!! If you are still alive and breathing, then it's not too late to start!! We are here to live for Jesus and him alone!! So many of us are selfish and stuck in OUR ways and what makes US happy and what is fun for US. Once you start realizing the meaning of why we are here, and start living your life for Jesus, then you finally started living!!! The biggest lie that the devil tells us is that there is no hell. The bible mentions hell more than heaven, so start realizing that, and know that a change needs to happen NOW!! Why wait until it's too late?? We are already sinners, why sin more and be selfish more. Let's live for him and ask for forgiveness when we sin. Let's go to church, we are supposed to be in church, it is mentioned all throughout the New Testament that we are supposed to be in church. So many people are content with their faith and saying that they believe in Jesus, and that is it. That isn't enough, you need to read, live the word, and be in obedience of the word. You need to make sacrifices, and cater your life to jesus. It goes by how you speak, think, actions, etc. You can't curse and praise Jesus at the same time. Don't curse!! Get to church, stop with the excuses, you need to be in church. PERIOD!!! If you truly love jesus, start being in obedience!! We are in the final times, and if people think it isn't happening, then they are mistaken. It's not too late to start now, the longer you wait the worse off you are!! Help one another, love one another, forgive one another, Praise and be vocal about your love for Jesus!! This world doesn't do it enough, we need to be different from this devil world. This world is so evil because of how much control the devil has, if you are part of this world and blending in, then that isn't where you need to be at. it will distract you from what you need to be doing!!! 11/18/2009 Changes

The one thing that i truly believe is that it is never too late for change. I don't care how old you are of what you have done, nobody is too late to be saved by the Lord. To have strong faith and a positive outlook, can accomplish anything!!!! Get involved with the Lord, Get excited with the Lord, Be vocal about how much you love the Lord!!!! I feel everyone goes around and does what is acceptable, and mimic's one another. Be different and be true to yourself and your heart. We are here for the Lord, not for US!!!! We are here to accomplish and conquer for the Lord, not US!!! Once you accept that and put it to use, then you found it!! People search and search for their answer and will, but through Jesus you will always find it. With the opportunities that present themselves, the certain people you meet, you have to have an open mind!!! I am only speaking for myself, but I am getting back on track with everything in my life and finally figured it out, I have been searching and searching and I finally found it. You have to put yourself out there for Jesus, you have to make him number one priority and top of the list, once you do that you start living for Christ. The things I am learning at Church I don't even have words for, when i read the bible i have tears of happiness for what the Lord has done for all of us sinners, I have true appreciation for Our Savior. I believe people know but they forget, and don't truly know!!! Make it a point to put yourself out there, go to church, get in the word, surround yourself with positive people that support you. I am in the best place of my life and it took me 25 years to get at. I am with my loving family that is only getting closer, finding Jesus and letting him take full force in my life, testing my body physicially with getting back on top with it, and for the first time in my life with a man that truly supports me and makes me 100% happy and loves me for me!!!! 10/21/2009 Turning over a new leaf

wow so much has happened and im at a place i honestly never thought i would be. I have been through alot in my past relationship, i have been torn every which way, and broken and bruised never to ever think i could be at where i am today. It shows that you must never rule anything out, after my relationship i ruled out ever being with someone ever again, i vowed to be alone and that all men were a certain way and was so badly hurt from my past, that there was no way i would try again or give it another shot. It just shows when you meet certain people or that certain someone that slowly your outlook can be altered, and if you keep an open mind, it can change and all new bright fresh possibilites can change and open up. I have met an amazing person that i have kept in touch with and really got to know. I met someone who was patient with my situation and respectful and fully understand what i had been through. I met someone who gave me amazing advice through the good and bad times, i tried to give up on this person because i couldn't trust, but he wouldn't let me, i honestly cannot believe how much i have changed. I am finally able to let the past go, and im finally able to start fresh with someone that i care so deeply for, i don't even have the words to express how much. I have someone that is my full support system, and has shown me the most kindness and respect that i have ever seen in any other man. I had to write this because it should let others know that in any situation, certain people or that certain someone may come along. Keep an open mind and never rule out anything. To my dear Carlos, thank you so much for being you and i am so happy for this relationship and only good will come from this, thank you my love

9/28/2009 Time to Re-evaluate my life

i had a rude awakening with just seeing how things work out, and with my thinking in general, and I need many change ups in my life. I feel at this point in my life Im on my way to moving forward but it is in slow motion. I am happy with my decisions i have made, but at this point right now im trying to sit down and think about what else can i be doing with my life, and what can i do with extra time that i have. i am so thankful to have my loving family and friends, i don't know what i would do without them, and first and foremost i thank God for always being in my corner. I know i am still here on this earth because i haven't fulfilled my purpose yet, and i have many talents that i have yet to discover, and share with everyone else. The areas i feel that i am lacking are spiritual, holding my past against myself, and constantly blaming myself and being so hard on myself. I am always a positive smiling person, so i hold lots of feelings in and i need to change that and turn negative things into positive things. I always do such a great job for everyone else, now i need to treat myself the same and start practicing what i preach. So with my personality i work best with goals and plans and i am making a new set that i will live by day in and day out. 1) getting more involved with my own bible study, i can only benefit if i break down the bible verses and apply them to life situations. 2) pray the rosary, i am a catholic and i believe virgin mary the mother of god and main patron saint that if we pray to her she will help deliever the message to her son jesus, and also by praying the rosary you pray for everyone hurting and lost in the world. 3) keep up with my physical working out, i haven't slacked on that, ive been doing amazing with eating healthy and working out, it is such a stress reliever, how can i ever not want that? 4) To practice what i preach,i give out soo much advice, now im going to start listening to my own words and be my own cheerleader. 5) control my attitude, no matter what situation, i NEED to see the positive and not harp on the negative!!!! I believe with this small list, this will make a huge impact on my life and others that come across it. This is something i need to do from here on out in my life, i don't want to waste another day of not trying to discover more talents that God has given me, i refuse to be lazy and settle, and i refuse to stop learning new information, especailly when it is about God. My new recent tattoo i just got is my best motto by far and im so happy i have it because it is a part of me now and a constant reminder. my life is going to all be about God, Faith, Love. With those three things you cannot go wrong. So no more being hard on myself and getting down, im fully refreshed and happy and ok with myself and ready to have a positive makeover in my life!!!!God Bless KatyRose
