On FEAR.......

I have done several blogs on fear, which is (false evidence appearing real).  I honestly feel that I should do another blog on Fear, but do it from a different angle.  No matter what, we always seem to run into "fear."  The reason we experience fear is because of two options: 1) we were afraid of something happening, and it actually happens or 2) it is something that happens unexpected, it is a "surprise' if you want to call it that.  So now I am going to go into the bible.  Jesus repeatedly tells us to "fear not."  Here are a few bible verses that back it up:

Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?
The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
You who fear him, trust in the LORD-- he is their help and shield.
But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--
Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you
1 Chronicles 28:20
David also said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.

Here are just a few verses that speak on "fear" in the bible.  This really applies to my life because my main goal is to get to the point where I can FULLY trust God in any and everything.  I can trust him in every single circumstance whether good or bad, whether planned or not planned.  So I ask myself: How can i get to this?  I thought of a few things: My husband and I teach a class at church and we did a study on who are the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven and what I gathered from doing research on that scripture is to be simple of mind and pure as a little child.  As adults we tend to complicate things, and want proof or further explanations or even reasoning.  It is almost as if we need someone to actually explain with charts and diagrams on why we should believe something or actually apply it to our lives.  When small children ask a question on why something is, they usually go to their parent or someone they trust, and they actually believe what that person says to them.  Children are so simple and pure in mind that they don't need lengthy explanations, you say it, they believe it!! Simple as that!!!  So now let me relate this to us adults:  God is Our Father, he is perfect in all his ways, he is our creator of the universe, he speaks truth and never lies, he is the author and finisher of our faith, he knows the beginning and the ending..... shall i go on??  So he is our "go to person for everything!!"  Whenever we need a life lesson, we should run to our bibles and then run into our prayer closet and get with our dad!!  Go ahead, sit on your dads lap and talk with him and see what he says.  You  know what he says will be the only truth you will ever hear in this world.  Ok, so we ask God something, his word speaks to us and answers it through scripture and that should be it.  That should be enough for us!!! Here we go to our heavenly father and see what he says, and when we get confirmation that should be it, end of story!!!  If you are worrying, having fear, anxiety, etc.  If you have any of those or even all of the above, then see what Gods word says.  When you read the bible, actually read it as if God is actually addressing you personally and catering it to your specific situation.  That is how personal Gods Word is.  I have been having fear of the unknown so the fear i keep running into is option 2 (which is above) fear of the unknown /unexpected.  I want answers, I want comfort, I want explanations, etc.  Here I am making it more complicated and becoming confused and in a tug of war of thoughts.  I need to STOP, get with God see what he says and jump off his lap and say ok, thank you daddy and go off to play.  I need to come to God and tell him that I am having fear and anxiety and worried about the future of what may or may not happen and here I can read that God is telling me "Katy, my daughter please do not fear, my son Jesus did not go through the Crucifixion so that you can sit here and have fear and anxiety about the future.  Do you know the future? Because I do know the future, I know the beginning and the end.  Katy, do you know that my son came to give you a more abundant life, and that nobody can snatch you out of my right hand?  Do you know that everything you have is because of me, and favor that I  have poured out fresh for you each morning?  Katy did you know that greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the world?"    This is what I hear and I need to believe it and once I leave my prayer closet, leave it with God and don't pick it up again.  The enemy wants you to literally torture yourself in your mind, and wants to wear you out and discourage you.  Stop beating yourself up!!! Put God first and that way you will be aligned with him and his word and you will have blessing.  I am not just writing this blog to you, I am writing for myself as well.  We all need a constant reminder when we are experiencing trials and tribulations.  We need to remind ourselves we are more than conquerors in Christ and through Christ.
So please, whatever you are going through, get on your fathers lap, talk with him (child to father) and let him give you the rest that Jesus wants to give you.  Listen to what he says, take it for what he says and be on your way trusting him with everything!!!!  I really hope this blog speaks to you today and in your life, and you don't just nod your head and think "that was a good blog."  I want you to actually believe it, take authority, and live it out!!!! We are in this battle of life together and the way to get through it, is to rely on Gods Word and other members of the body of Christ!!!

blog on bible verse romans 14:7-8

For we do not live for ourselves or die for ourselves.
If we live, it is to honor the Lord. And if we die, it is
To honor the Lord.  So whether we live or die, we
Belong to the Lord.  This verse speaks volumes to me
We can think we are "our own" at times. We can get
Into the routine of living for ourselves and pleasing
Are selfish desires.  We think that we just happen to be here, but
We have a divine plan and purpose from our creator
Who knows us intimantley.  He loves us so much that
He doesn't force anything on us. He willingly gave his son freely,
He did this because he IS love!!  So as long as we are
Still breathing, then we belong to him. We are his because
We were paid for and bought.  We can either live that
Or ignore it.  If we die then we are still his and it brings
Him honor.  He is in control, not us!!  The Lord reminds
Us everyday that HE is the ruler!! Praise the Lord for
His great love and mercy.  In EVERYTHING give him
Praise and thanks!

Do you ACTUALLY believe Gods Word, and take it at face value?

Here is a question that I believe many people come across and don't know exactly where they stand at with this.  You can pull out the checklist and check it off:  I go to church (check), I believe in God (check), I know there is God (check), I try to be a good person (check), I try and tell the truth (check), I have read some of Gods Word or all of it (check) etc.  All of us can make a list of check marks and sit back and be impressed with how many boxes we have marked and actually feel like we are doing pretty good.  Or wait, let me throw this one at you, do this checklist with someone else, and then you can compare it with someone else and if you have more check marks then you can feel that short moment of "satisfaction."  This is what we do today as a society, we compare ourselves to others and see how we measure up and we try to make sure we are doing better than others or making sure we aren't as bad as others.  This is how the enemy gets us right where he wants us, he wants us to always feel we aren't doing enough or could be doing more.  He gives us the "whys, whats, hows, and the wonderful "what ifs."  He loves to have us live in the past and go by regrets of mistakes we have made.  I bet you are nodding your head while reading this and can understand what I am talking about. Well I will get to the point on what this is all about.  I bet you are on your very best behavior when you attend church, you can be confessing you love the Lord, you can even feel unstoppable because church is supposed to recharge us and fuel us up for the week.  That is where we come in running on "empty" and going to church is where we get gassed up and we are on a Holy High.  How are you when you leave church? How are you the rest of the week? How about when a lovely unpleasant surprise from the enemy hits? Fight with a family member? Fight with a spouse? How about someone who is mean to you ON PURPOSE and chooses to make your life difficult?  THIS IS THE TEST TO SEE IF YOU TAKE GODS WORD FOR WHAT IT IS!!!!  How about if you are single, in a relationship but not married yet.  Are you being intimate with that person and thinking it is ok?  Do you live with someone that you are dating that you aren't married to?  The world will tell us this is ok and it is acceptable and everyone is doing it!!  You can take comfort in the world (which has people deceived ) or you can wake up and get the truth from Gods Word and see what He says and what the truth is!!!  You can have you head stuck in the sand and pretend you don't know, or you will have time to correct it, but why are you waiting? why even risk it? You should be on a level of relationship with the Lord where you cannot go ONE DAY WITHOUT him!!!  You need him every day and every second while you are still breathing!!!  We can hear the word in church and hear a few good verses and really like them and maybe even write them down.  Just because you like something or write it down, doesn't mean you will actually believe it and put it into action.  One of my most favorite scriptures is that Ephesians 4:26
"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry."  I have heard this verse at church and have even read it and I really liked this.  The true test is that if you truly love the Lord your God first and with all your mind soul and strength then this is a COMMAND from him, he says it so we HAVE to do it and follow it!!!  When you are having a fight with someone and you are heated and waiting for the "feeling of calming down."  Well if it becomes night time and you are still angry, you have two choices: 1) wait it out and either see if you calm down, get more angry, or wait for that person to come to you or 2) You can be a bible believer and see that God commands this so no matter "our feeling" we have to not let our anger make us sin and we must squash the quarrel before we go to bed.
This is something I have brought up to have you see what I am talking about.  This is how we should read the bible and how serious we should take it.  All the answers we ever wanted to know are here in Gods Word.
There is alot of hype about December 21 2012 about Mayan calendar and Nostradamus etc and people are really believing these things and put their faith on these people.  The bible talks about this and how there are going to be false prophets and how people are going to choose to hear what they want to hear and make up their own truths because they want to.  I have to admit I started having anxiety awhile back because I started watching some programs and seeing things on line and I had to literally turn it off because it was deceiving me and getting me away from Gods truth and Gods Word. You can believe what the World says or what Gods Word says.

what God do you serve?

this is something I wanted to bring up, do you serve God
Or do you serve satan? Now when I bring this up people think
As long as they worship the devil, then they are good
Well did you know that if you do it YOUR way and serve
Your needs and your desires, then that is what it says to
God.  It says to God that you don't need him and that
You can do it yourself.  Did you know that Satan did the
Exact same thing?  He took care of himself, served him,
And he felt he was entitled.  There are only two ways:
Gods way and our way.  If you follow God then you are
Obedient to his word and your lifestyle backs it up.
You can say with your mouth that you love God and
Follow him, but those are just words if you don't show it
We cannot just do what we want to do because we are
Not our own, we were bought and paid for, we are HISB
Look at your life: are you living with someone and not married
Are you continuing to be intimant with people because the
World encourages it? these are only a few things
Mentioned. If you love God you fear him and obey himm
When are we going to take his word seriously? So I
Am going to ask again do you serve God or yourself?
If you serve God you have eternal life, if not then you
Are seperated from God for eternity.
